Method 1 - Drivers: One of the most common reasons for low frame rate is that a player's video drivers are out of date. Your computer generally comes with video card drivers, but are most likely out of date. Updating your drivers cannot not only improve your FPS, but will also generally apply bug fixes to your setup.
You most likely have a graphics card from one of the three following manufacturers:
- Press the Windows Key and R at the same time on your keyboard.
- Type dxdiag in the text box and then press the Enter key.
- Select the Display tab located in the window that appeared on the screen.
- The name and manufacturer of your graphics card will be displayed in the top-left hand corner of the screen.
